The LOVE Project was a conceptual public art intervention realised in New York in 2003. The word LOVE was placed in the urban environment as a simple visual gesture intended to spread virally through documentation, sharing and repetition. The idea was that a minimal message could circulate through the city and beyond, reminding people of the fundamental connection between individuals in an increasingly complex world. The project explored how a small artistic intervention could trigger wider resonance through collective attention.
